Lillian Rich

Lillian Rich was an Englishborn actress of the silent era. She appeared in 66 films between 1919 and 1940. She was born in Herne Hill, London and died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. A beautiful woman often overlooked or forgotten today, she starred as the female lead in many a silent feature throughout the twenties. Her nearest to ascending the height of fame is when she worked with Cecil B. DeMille and Jack Hoxie on a few pictures. Incredibly for such an attractive woman Rich was appearing in short films in the early soundtomid 1930s era and finished out her career in Laurel and Hardy shorts. Rich bore something of a resemblance to Mildred Harris and is not related to Irene Rich.
